Gamer Time: The Force Unleashed

This is a well awaited game that's come out today.

Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, DS, PSP

Genre: Action

Give in to the lure of the Dark Side in the next major Star Wars game. You'll take on the role of Darth Vader's secret Sith apprentice, Starkiller, running mysterious errands for the Jedi Lord while wielding incredibly destructive Force powers.

Why It's Hot: It's the missing link. Set between the end of Episode III and the beginning of Episode IV, The Force Unleashed sees Starkiller tracking down the few Jedi who lived through Emperor Palpatine's Jedi purge, lending new insight into Vader's relationship with the Emperor and functioning as a sort of bridge between the two film trilogies. That's awesome, and so is the game's tech. Thanks to a trio of cutting-edge technologies, you'll toss stormtroopers, rebel soldiers and even entire Tie-Fighters around like ragdolls, turning the galaxy far, far, away into your personal Jedi stomping ground.

Why It's Not: Think this is your chance to bust out your spot-on Star Wars kid imitation by waving your Wiimote around like a lightsaber? Not quite, padawan. Though you'll be able to swing your sword using gestures, The Force Unleashed is not a saber simulator. Another strike against the Wii version: it's being developed by a different studio (as is the DS and PSP) and isn't powered by the same fancy technology as the 360 and PS3 versions. The Force might not be with this one...

New Release: The Inheiritence Cycle

Well this is the BIG one I've been waiting for Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. The third book in the Inheiritance Cycle. About Eragon the young dragon rider, this book is sure to be a wowzer. And as always if you haven't heard of this series... pick it up! It's a great read.

Gamer Time: Spore

This is a well awaited game that's come out today.

Platforms: PC, Mac

Genre: Simulation

From the innovative mind of Will Wright comes this evolutionary masterpiece. Guide a creature out of the primordial soup, nurturing its quest for survival by mating with others of its kind, forming tribes and civilizations as it conquers first the planet, then the galaxy.

Why It's Hot: You want credentials? Spore's got enough to fill up a spaceship. Its designer, Will Wright, is responsible for countless hits, including the best-selling PC game franchise of all-time (The Sims). It has taken home E3 trade show awards for three straight years. Released last month, the game's editing tool -- the Creature Creator -- has enjoyed well over 1 million downloads, spawned half as many Youtube videos and even dethroned dueling chieftains World of Warcraft and Age of Conan on the PC sales chart. And did we mention the epic gameplay? It looks insane. They don't call it the "universe in a box" for nothing.

Why It's Not: No one's really played much of it yet, so we're not exactly sure how gracefully the game will manage to tie together its different gameplay styles. Spore has also been in development for a very long time, encountering several postponements en route to its September release. That's never a good sign for a game as ambitious as this, and as we all know, one misstep in the evolutionary process can lead to all sorts of problems. Just ask a Platypus.

Your player card is the key to customizing your penguin!

To view your player card, click your penguin or choose the icon on your tool bar. Use the scroll bar on the right side to scroll through all your items.

To view items by category, click the tab on the bottom of your inventory.

Select the category to view items.

You can see your coin balance at the bottom of your player card, which tells you how much money you have to spend.
There are lots of ways to customize your penguin! You can choose different colors, flags, backgrounds , collectable pins, clothes and accessories.

Choose an item from your inventory and click to put it on your penguin.

Click the item on your penguin to put it back in your store.

Play games all over Club Penguin to earn virtual coins and purchase your favorite items.

The Penguin Style catalog in the Gift Shop and the Snow and Sport catalog in the Sport Shop are packed with cool clothes and accessories to buy. Everyone can buy colors and backgrounds. To purchase clothing items and accessories, you have to be a member.

When Rockhopper is docked in Club Penguin, he sells items on his ship. He arrives approximately every two months.

To make a purchase, open a catalog, find the item you want and click 'Buy'. The item will be added to your player card inventory.

Catalogs are updated at different times. The Penguin Style (clothing) catalog is updated every month. Some old items are removed from the catalog for a time and re-released in a later catalog.

Some items are hidden in the catalog. To find them, use your mouse and watch for mouse pointer to change. Click on it to see the clothing item.

Comic-Con : Sunday

Ok, I went to Comic-Con on Sunday. I spent most of the day on the exhibition floor looking for freebies. I didn't see any of the shows cuz most of em where sucky that day or had REALLY long lines.

The 1 greatest thing that happened to me was that Jared Padalecki the guy that plays Sam in Supernatural was about 2 FEET away from me! I also saw Jensen, but Jarad was SO CLOSE TO ME!

The worst thing that happened to me was that I went searching for my favorite author Eion Colfer, at AA24 of course I had no idea where that was, since it was my first time. So I looked for him walked around for about half an hour. I was SUPER excited. And I found Autograph Area 24. Except he WASN'T there, instead there was this Professional Wrestler there, I asked around other people were looking for him too. But it was a MIS-WRIGHT, in the On-site Newsletter. He was only there on Thursday but they printed that he'd be there the whole week. I am sad.

Still there was some pretty cool hand-outs there. My loot includes:

Halo Wars

Halo three has been out a while now, Halo Wars was known to have started right after the release of the last game in the trilogy.

The Game

Halo Wars is a real-time action strategy game for the Xbox 360 that allows the player to control large armies and to shrewdly direct them in realistic warfare. Set early in the iconic war between the Covenant and UNSC - made famous by the Halo FPS games - Halo Wars provides a new angle on the war while bringing new heroes to the battle.

In Halo Wars fans will be able to control armies of units that are familiar to them from the FPS games, such as UNSC Marines, Scorpion Tanks, and the iconic Warthog. Our E3 demo video gives a na first look at the game, and you can download it from our movies page.

The Controls

We've spent a great deal of time simply on getting the controls right. Halo Wars was created for the Xbox 360 from the ground up, which meant we didn't have to make compromises or shoe-horn in artifacts from a Windows PC game. We were able to take all the best aspects of RTS games, make them work perfectly on the Xbox 360, and exclude the rest.

The Developer

Halo Wars is currently under development at Ensemble Studios in Dallas, Texas. We are the developers behind the award winning Age of Empires series of real-time strategy games, and we're very excited to be able to work in the universe that our friends at Bungie have created.

A release date has not been announced for the game. Please visit our FAQ page for answers to common questions.

Halo Wars is exclusively for Xbox 360, coming out in Spring 2009. It's going to be an RTS game, warthogs are cool. Scorpions are cool. Controlling lots of Warthogs and Scorpions and sending them into battle is really, really cool. You have the ability to play as the Convenant. "Halo Wars” takes place before the first Halo FPS game, during the UNSC’s initial deadly encounters with the Covenant.

World of Starcraft

Ok, so I talked about the debut of Diablo 3 coming up but I just heard of another Blizard project. World of Starcraft.

Here's a little description of Starcraft via Wikipedia.

Set in the 26^th century, the game revolves around three species—the Terrans, humans exiled from Earth adept at adapting to any situation; the Zerg, a race of insectoids obsessed with assimilating other races in pursuit of genetic perfection; and the Protoss, a humanoid species with advanced technology and psionic abilities attempting to preserve their civilization and strict philosphical way of living from the Zerg—fighting for dominance in a distant part of the Milky Way galaxy. The game has been praised for pioneering the use of unique factions in real-time strategy gameplay and for a "compelling" story.

Many of the industry's journalists have praised StarCraft as one of the and most important video games of all time, and for having raised the bar for developing real-time strategy games. StarCraft's multiplayer is particularly popular in South Korea, where professional players and teams participate in matches, earn sponsorships, and compete in televised tournaments.

And now, much like Warcraft, Starcraft is becoming another mukltiplayer world.

The Saga Continues:
StarCraft: Brood War continues the award-winning saga of galactic warfare as the Zerg, Protoss and Terrans struggle for their continued survival. With the shattered Zerg hive torn apart by fierce in-fighting, the Protoss seek to reunite with their Dark Templar brethren and begin the rebuilding of their homeworld, Aiur. Terran Emperor Mengsk I, having achieved his goal of total power over the human colonies, must now turn his attention to both the rising power of the woman he betrayed -- Kerrigan, the infamous Zerg Queen of Blades-- and a conspiracy deep within his own ranks.

Diablo 3

Long awaited. This game is much like Warcraft but has a totally different Fan Base. People have been playing this game in my family as long as I can remember. Put away Diablo 2(for now) and pick up Diablo 3! NOTE: The release date of Diablo three has yet to be set by Blizzard.

Maple Story

This games been around for 3 years so it's new. But this multi player games is way old. It's only 2-D, but there are lots of cool options in this game. You can become a warrior, bowman, thief, or magician. Then you may make more job advances after that. There are also lots of quests you can complete too. You can even get married, this game may be old school but it's good enough to spend you time on. If you ever play the game try Windia.

The only downside to this game is that to play you have to download a file to play, and after the game is updated for improvements you have to update patches. And sometimes the patches won't load and must be uploaded manually and it's a complicated process.

Ok, well we all now that the world is slowly coming to an end. But if you would like to slow that down a little. Save energy, and easy way to do so is instead of using Google.com (As from our polls I know you love) use Blackle.com. It's an energy saving search, instead of the normal background of white, there is a black background. Next week sees the release of Konami's Metal Gear Solid 4 on the PlayStation 3. While the game might not be as huge in terms of pre-sales figures as the likes of Grand Theft Auto IV, there's no doubt that this is the game PS3 gamers have been waiting for. Runescape

This free online game isn't new but very very old. Though there have been many many updates and is updated frequently. I am a long time member of Runescape, and I get lonely. It's a multi-player game based in medieval times with cool mini games, quests, and even features a fully working chat system.

Tide Pool Phase

Tribal Phase

Instead of controlling an individual creature, you are now caring for an entire tribe. Give them tools and guide their interactions as you upgrade their state of existence.

Civilization Phase

Once your city is established, your creatures begin seeking out and interacting with other cultures. Make contact with an olive branch or a war cry. The goal for your creatures is to conquer the planet.

Space Phase

The time has come to move on to other worlds in your solar system. Make contact, colonize, or terraform, then venture further to find other solar systems. A 'mission' structure provides new goals in your quest for galactic nce.

Baseball History

Gamer Time: The Force Unleashed

Gamer Time is all the time.

Right now the big buzz as everyone knows in the new Star Wars game. The Force Unleashed.

In this game you will be playing as the secret apprentice of Darth Vader, even as Darth Vader himself in the first chapter of the game.

As you can imagine it would be pretty suckish if the good side of the force won.

You may think alchemy is a dark art, but its pretty handy. For those of you who don't know, alchemist use alchemy which is where a person with special abilities can turn one object into another. Of course like every thing there are rules to alchemy. One, There must be equivalent exchange and you must never try human alchemy, Just to name a few.

The main characters are Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric. When there mother sadly died, they tried to bring her back with human alchemy, Which is Forbidden, they didn't give equivalent exchange which lead to Edwards little brother, Alphonse, to lose his body. Edward manged to put his brothers soul in a suit of armor. Edward lost an arm.

Now there looking for a stone that will give back what they lost, because this stone is said to give alchemist incredible powers.

Maple Story

Yuki here reporting about the maple story anime!


I never watch maple story or played the game but I know A thing or 2 about it.

Along time ago a organization called the zakun, Weird name, was targeting the world tree that protected peace and order to the fellow planets (wonder how a tree does that). The human race and led 4 other races in a fight against the evil zakuns plans. In the end the tree commited suicide by blowing up and now every race is blaming the human race for killing the suicidal tree so now its a never ending Race War 1

The main character is Al. He is determined to revive the suicidal tree by finding a world tree seed apperantly with his friends

A new anime for those anime-tard is " Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan OP " Its about a guy named Sakura, ya sakura, and he meets an Angel, but not an nice beautiful angel. An angel with a mideviel club thats deadly.Her name is Dokuro-chan and people discribe her as beat-to-death or club-to-death dokuro-chan. The main character dies in every episode but is brought back to life by her waving her club and saying"pipipirupirupipirupi". She is from the future were girls stop growing at the age of 12 thanks to Sakura, the main character, and dokuro-chan is trying to stop him from getting smart so he can make the cure/diesese. In the first episode she started school and wanted Sakura-Kun (Main boy) to show her around, but Shizuki (Sakura-kun's crush) suggested the class president to do so, So Dokuro (Main angel) Turned him into a monkey. Therefor, he now has the head of a monkey. lol ^^ (And Sakura showed her around. lol)
