We're going to try this out, if he gets a good response then we'll keep him. I might even nominate him Head of Graphic Design for the site.

Padres

As the baseball nerd I have to have a favorite team. If you didn't already know they are the Padres!  Almost winning the division last year the padres have a great squad this year. I think they are bound to win the world series with Cy Young award winning pitcher Jake Peavy and stars Adrian Gonzalez and Khalil Greene in the infield. There is a fight for a starting position in left but my vote is young Chase Headly. With veteran Jim Edmonds in center field who has had a few off years lately, in my opinion is going to burst out with talent. My favorite player of all time is Ryan Klesko but my favorite player on the padres is Kevin Kousmanoff. If you have any questions about baseball please comment on this.

Anime Expert

Along with Pi Day comes the ending of our latest poll. It seems that Yuki has won. He will now be a Nerd World author for a whole month. At the end of his month he will be able to pass the torch and suggest another expert to be an author on nerd world. But don't worry, we'll have him back as a visitor author.

Authors

Ok. It seems that after the post I wrote on the Anime Expert I have been getting some comments about other people wanting to be authors on Nerd World too, of course with their own categories. From now on you will have to write a five paragraph essay and post is as a comment on this post if you want to become a nerd world author, that doesn't even ensure your membership into Nerd World, it is much more complicated.

Anime

As you may know, anime is a Japanese comic like thing. I believe that it qualifies as nerdy and my friend Yuki (also a repeated commenter on Nerd World) is desperate to be our Anime expert. There is now a poll to vote yes or no on for anime expert, also a setting to see if you think Yuki should be it.

Gamer Review: Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero vs. Rock Band

Both games are certainly very good. Both thrive in different things.

Guitar Hero has come out with three editions of the game and in all of them has done very well and improved each time. Number 3 earning itself the title of "Best Music Game."

Rock Band on the other hand was instantly swallowed by fame and people played and got hooked.

But something I have noticed was that there were definite things differed in the games. You may thing that Rock Band is instantly better because there are more choices of instruments to play. But Guitar Hero is also more challenging for the one instrument. People that played Guitar Hero then Rock Band agreed that Rock Bands guitar part was harder and went into the notes with more detail. Where as Rock Band was more simple and played mostly basic parts (unless you get to expert difficulty level) Plus Rock Band includes Drumming which I believe was done very well. Though when you sing into the microphone it only registers pitch and not the words.

In the end both games are wonderful, even though they excel in different places.
The last question that everyone must ask is what is better, circles or rectangles?
